Role: Reliability Engineer
Location: Telford
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (DOE)

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for enhancing the reliability, performance, and life cycle of systems, equipment, and processes. This role involves analyzing failure data, developing maintenance strategies, and working cross-functionally to ensure optimal uptime and performance of assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies for systems and equipment.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Perform statistical analysis and reliability modeling (e.g., Weibull analysis).
- Lead or support condition monitoring and predictive maintenance programs.
- Monitor and report on asset health and performance metrics (e.g., MTBF, MTTR).
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams to resolve reliability issues.
- Support the development and optimization of Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans.
- Lead or support capital projects with reliability input on design, materials, and component selection.
- Evaluate spare parts strategies, critical spares, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
- Recommend design or process changes to improve equipment reliability.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking reliability data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with reliability tools and techniques (RCA, FMEA, RCM, TPM).
- Proficient in reliability software (e.g., ReliaSoft, Minitab) and Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of maintenance principles and CMMS tools (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and schematics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
- Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or TPM knowledge.
- Experience with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 55000 for asset management).
- Experience in implementing predictive technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, etc.).
