Job Description

HR Advisor

Location: Birmingham
Salary: Up to £38,000 + benefits
Hours: Monday – Friday | On Site | Full Time | Early Finish on a Friday

An established UK manufacturing organisation is looking for a proactive and hands-on HR Advisor to join its busy HR function at its Birmingham operation. This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working closely with managers, supporting employees, and getting involved in a wide variety of generalist responsibilities.

About the Role

You’ll be the first point of contact for HR support on-site, working closely with the HR Manager, wider leadership team and employees. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys balancing day-to-day HR support with involvement in wider projects.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the full recruitment cycle for indirect roles and supporting hiring managers throughout.
  • Delivering new starter inductions and ensuring HR systems and personnel files are accurate and up to date.
  • Handling core HR administration including absence management, contractual changes, holiday records, and time & attendance data.
  • Supporting training activity, helping coordinate courses, bookings and compliance with the site training plan.
  • Managing temp-to-perm reviews and ensuring employment decisions are aligned with attendance and performance.
  • Working with managers on employee relations matters, including investigations, review meetings and general HR queries.
  • Collating HR metrics, producing reports and supporting improvement initiatives across the department.
  • Helping to deliver employee engagement activities and supporting the site leadership team with day-to-day admin.

About You

You’ll bring strong HR generalist experience from within a manufacturing environment and the confidence to support managers at all levels. You should be comfortable working in an environment where no two days are the same.

We’re looking for:

  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards)
  • 4–5 years’ experience in a generalist HR role
  • Experience within a manufacturing or operational environment
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organisation, adaptability and attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse data and produce accurate HR reports (advanced Excel is beneficial)
  • A proactive mindset and the confidence to work independently when required

If you feel your experience aligns with the above and a full time on site role is ideal for you, we would love to discuss this opportunity in more detail and look forward to your CV / Application.
