Job Description
Role: Project Manager
Salary: £40,000–£44,000 + bonus, pension, benefits
Location: Birmingham – Hybrid
We’re working with a respected sector body within the UK energy and utilities space that plays a pivotal role in shaping industry skills and workforce strategy. As their operations and project portfolio expand, they’re looking to strengthen internal delivery capability with the hire of an ambitious Project Manager.
This position offers ownership of diverse and meaningful projects, from developing technical and occupational standards to delivering national attraction campaigns and supporting a key system transformation programme central to the organisation’s plans.
What you’ll do:
• Lead end-to-end project delivery: defining scope, planning timelines and budgets, coordinating small internal teams, and managing project communications.
• Work closely with internal experts, clients, and senior sponsors to ensure projects stay on track and aligned with strategic objectives.
• Gain visibility across multiple business functions and contribute to a sector-wide strategy that shapes workforce development and long-term growth.
What we’re looking for:
• Proven experience coordinating or managing multiple projects in a structured environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with confidence engaging at a senior level.
• Experience in education, membership, skills development, or energy-related settings is advantageous.
• Comfortable using digital tools and CRM systems.
